Privacy policy

Effective 14 October 2026

PawTempo is an Android workout timer provided by Polds Dev. This policy explains how the app handles information. For privacy questions, contact poldsdev@gmail.com.

Information stored on your device

PawTempo stores your workout routines and exercise names, favorites, workout history and results, reminders, settings and purchase-entitlement cache in app storage on your device. This information is used to run your timers, show your history and progress, schedule reminders, apply your preferences and determine access to Pro features.

PawTempo does not require a PawTempo account. We do not operate a server that receives your workout database. The app does not include advertising or an app analytics service.

Google Play purchases

Optional Pro purchases are handled by Google Play Billing. Google processes payment and account information under its own terms and privacy policy. PawTempo does not receive your payment-card details.

The app queries Google Play for purchases, acknowledges completed purchases, and stores a product identifier, purchase token and verification timestamp locally to determine Pro access, including limited offline access. We do not send this cache to a developer-operated server. Purchase and restoration checks can require connectivity to Google Play.

Google's billing library also includes technical diagnostic reporting to Google. This can include billing response codes and error messages, app package and version, Android version, billing-library version and a generated billing-client identifier. Billing connection and ownership checks run when the app starts or resumes once the Pro product is configured, even if you do not make a purchase. This reporting does not contain PawTempo's workout database. Google's policies govern its handling of this information.

Notifications, alarms and widgets

The app uses notifications and alarms for workout phase alerts, completion alerts and reminders you set. It can show workout information and controls on your notification area and home-screen widget. Depending on your Android settings, notification information may also appear on the lock screen.

PawTempo's workout notifications are scheduled locally rather than sent by a developer-operated push-notification server. You can manage notification permissions and visibility in Android Settings.

Coach voice and audio

Bundled cue sounds play through your phone's audio system. Coach voice passes cue text and, when enabled, exercise names to your Android text-to-speech engine using an installed voice that the engine identifies as working without a network connection. PawTempo does not select network-required voices. If a suitable offline voice is unavailable, it skips spoken cues rather than switching to an online voice. Ordinary cue sounds and vibration follow their own settings.

You can turn off voice cues in PawTempo or install offline voice data through Android's text-to-speech settings. The selected speech engine is provided by your device or a third party and has its own settings and privacy policy.

PawTempo does not record microphone audio. It does not use location, contacts or camera data for workout timing.

Exports, sharing and backups

When you choose to share a completion card, export workout history or create a backup, the app creates the requested image, CSV or JSON file and uses Android's sharing or file interfaces. You choose where it goes. A backup can contain routines, history, reminders and settings. Protect exported files if they contain information you consider private.

If you choose another app or cloud service as the destination, that provider handles the file under its own policies. Restoring a file reads the selected backup into the app and replaces the corresponding local data.

Android may also back up and restore app data depending on your device and backup settings. Such system backup is separate from PawTempo's optional file backup feature and is managed by your device/backup provider.

Retention, deletion and security

Local information remains until it is removed or replaced, or Android removes the app's storage. The Free history viewing limit does not delete older records.

You can clear PawTempo's local data through Android Settings → Apps → PawTempo → Storage → Clear storage/data, or uninstall the app. These actions do not cancel or refund a Google Play purchase. Delete exported files separately and manage system/cloud backups with the relevant provider; retained backups may restore data during a later installation.

The developer cannot remotely access or delete your local workout database. App storage uses Android's application storage protections. Exported files do not receive a separate PawTempo password or encryption layer.

Support communications

If you contact us by email, we receive your email address, message and anything you choose to attach. We use this information to respond and resolve your request. Do not include payment-card details or unnecessary sensitive information. Support messages may be retained while needed for support or applicable legal obligations; you may contact us about deleting them. Email providers process messages under their own policies.

Intended audience

PawTempo is intended for adults doing general fitness activities and is not directed to children. It provides workout timing and records, not medical services. Calorie values are estimates.

Changes and contact

We may update this policy when the app's features or data practices change. The effective date above identifies the current version.
